God can fix this
We are living in a world where bad news have become the norm. People are being killed just because of their faith. Children and women are sold as sex slaves. People die of hunger while others spend their money on frivolities. Government leaders are caught in corruption or scandals, and sadly, some church leaders are as well. The list goes on and on. We can’t deny that we are living in very difficult times.
We have even reached the point where a newspaper front page denounces that “God can’t fix this”. How low can we fall? How can anyone dare to even suggest that we should forget about God when the time we are living calls for everyone to get closer to God?
God answers prayers, but only those that have him as Lord have their sight clear enough to see the results. God is making miracles, but not the miracles that the world is expecting. God is changing lives, but just not the way the world is expecting.
How can anyone blame God for the actions of those who have decided to live without God? How can anyone blame God for inaction when God has been systematically banished from our world?
All the benefits that we want to receive in heaven originate from God, and none of them can exist without him. There is no love, happiness, joy, peace, or salvation without God. Is anyone expecting to receive the benefits of a heaven without God? There is no such thing.
God has promised great things for those who follow him: a life without trials in this world is not one of them. Yet He provides his followers with peace, hope, strength and joy even in the midst of their most difficult times.
The day will come when God’s kingdom will be finally established on earth and his people will begin to reap the fruits of their faith. Until that day comes let’s keep our faith unmoved, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). God can fix this, and he will.
