The Kingdom of Heaven – Part 1
Who does not want to go to the kingdom of heaven? The common response from anyone who would do this question would be “I do.”
But the truth is that if we ask these same people What is, or what they expect to see in the kingdom of heaven very few would have a concrete response.
We could include a series of verses to support what is the kingdom of heaven, but the most important thing is to know that the kingdom of heaven is a real place being prepared for us by our Lord Jesus (John 14:2-3).
Enough to say that there will be no death or suffering (Revelations 21:4).
Living in a world where we are used to measure things by their physical characteristics, it is not surprising that we try to describe the kingdom of heaven from a physical perspective. But more than focusing in trying to explain what will be the kingdom of heaven our focus shall be on how to begin receiving the benefits of been citizens of that kingdom.
Jesus began the establishment of the kingdom with his ministry (Mt 4:17). In fact, he meant for us to begin receiving the benefits of the kingdom here and now (John 10:10).
I would like to provide some definitions before we close the first part of this teaching.
