For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life – John 3:16

God loves us. There is no doubt about it. If you have experienced it then you know what I mean. But even after having experienced God’s love, do we really know its dimension?

that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. – Ephesians 3:17-19

The dictionary defines the word “dimension” as measure in one direction. Based on that definition we can say that God’s love is multi-dimensional: it spreads in all directions – width, length, depth and height.

• God’s love can penetrate the depths of your heart.
• God’s love can cover the length of your failures.
• God’s love can bring your hope to heights you never expected.

Those three dimensions show us how great is the love of God for you. If you haven’t experience it yet, I invite you to grasp this life-changing truth.

It is wonderful to know the scope of the love the creator of the universe has for you. But the width of his love shows a fourth dimension that spreads no only to you but also to the rest of the people in the world.

As a loving God one would expect him to require exclusive love from us. However, he want us to share his love with others.

Jesus answered him, “The first of all the commandments is: ‘Hear, O Israel, the LORD our God, the LORD is one. And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment. And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” – Mark 12:29-31

He wants us to receive his love, but he wants us to spread it to others as well. God love others the same way he loves you. God wants for others what he wants for you. The magnitude of the love of God has its full expression when we receive it in all its dimensions: when we love Him at the same time we love each other.

Why settle for one part of His love when we can have it all? Allow the multi-dimensional love of God to manifest in your life.
